Morgana, my cat, generally mirrors aspects of me (the so-called "me," that is). For example, she meows plaintively for food, when her dish is full of food. Pointing at the dish and raising my voice don't seem to awaken her to the present-time abundance in her life. The only thing that gets her to realize that nourishment, manna from Katie, is present now is to stop giving her more until she eats what is on her plate.
Which reminds me of my childhood, and also of my adulthood: "Universe, I want more of this, less of that, enough of the other," I whine. Yet recently It hasn't been putting new food in my bowl, so much as forcing me to slow down and notice what is there, in greater depth. OMG, the incredible, meticulous, detailed abundance, personally designed for my particular soul journey, that is already right here, right now!
Another similarity between me and Morgana (as you can see in the above short video) is that we don't respond well to the mental practice of "self-inquiry."
