Interview with Katie about Private iWavework:![]() What do you do with people in Private Sessions?
I always ask one question at the start of each session: "What do you want to get out of this work? " Whatever you answer tends to come true within a few sessions. There is no "right" answer––you could want anything... Here are some of the answers I have heard recently: "I want more prosperity." "I want to get clear with my husband." "I want more ease and joy in my life" "I want to release this pain/fear/resentment" "I want to release this physical condition..." "I want to find my life purpose" and even, from the exhausted ones: "I want to wake up spiritually" Amazingly, you will get what you ask for. Since iWavework comes from a higher source and not my ego, I have had my mind blown for more than 30 years, watching hundreds of people experience resolution to problems and stucknesses that have felt quite immovable. And it's not just about clearing problems: Even one session can show you your potential for joy and aliveness in your body that you had perhaps not experienced since you were very young, if at all. So one session is enough? Well, no. I'm not saying that you are perfect, right and done after one session. Clearing the accumulated backlog of the painbody is a journey. What I can say, (and I have received boxes of testimonials to this fact over the years), is that iWavework works, and it works fast! In fact, after our introductory session, I recommend a series of sessions––initially at least 10––so that we can go very deeply into: (1) exploring and melting the psychic/emotional /mental/ physical "STUFF" that is in the way between your current state and the joyful, abundant flow of life you would like, and (2) establishing new habits and practices that keep you in that flow-path. So I recommend one session (to experience the power of the work) and then a series of 10-20, so that your deep inner self knows that you are committed to following through and therefore can open up to support your deep transformation. Why does my deep inner self need commitment? That scary "C" word! Yet we can use Commitment in our own favor. You are not joining anything here, and it's just a temporary kind of "intensive" that you are giving yourself. We each hold an incredible, stunning, mind-melting reservoir of power that we are not tapping. Yet it seems unavailable to us. It's as though this inner potential doesn't trust us, because we flit from one state to another, one thought to another, one method of "fixing ourselves" to another––this all changes when we commit, especially to a methodology that really works, like iWavework. Is this work spiritual, psychological, somatic, cognitive or emotional? Or is it about breathing? Yes to all of the above. It's essentially spiritual, in the most inclusive, integrated sense of that word. Nowadays, everyone who gets drawn to work with me is somewhere on a self-realization journey into Oneness, because that's where I am... Let me say a bit more about that: There really is a new consciousness dawning on the planet. This idea of a new era is not just fuzzy New Age thinking––there is a real turning point available right now, but it's mostly internal. The old system of being human just don't work no more! The "Old Age" that is passing away = our old patterns of living in a state of anxious, controlling struggle. This inner struggle with life has created incredible planetary suffering, and this mode of consciousness has reached its expiry date, even though many people will keep trying to maintain the old ways for some time. In fact, what we are going through en masse right now can feel like a death, even in our prosperous Western world, if we don't know HOW to activate the new system, in other words, HOW to be in our bodies, and HOW to tap into the presence of the abundant, loving Flow that supports us. I mention all this because most people I work with are somewhere between the old system and the new system and I often feel like a kind of midwife between the worlds. Out of this death of the old ways, a new birth is trying to happen, and it's no coincidence that many students of iWavework find themselves resolving their birth trauma and their fears of death even if they only came into the work to release poverty consciousness or abandonment issues. What about "spiritual awakening?" You seem to include this in your list of benefits. Who do you think you are? I Am The One, just like You! Generally we've been taught that only The Special Ones are enlightened or awakened (perhaps those from the East with Sanskrit names, or those with best-selling books, or a knack for public speaking). Yet enlightenment is our natural birthright. Awakening is very basic and simple, although it is rarely a one-shot deal where we wake up and it's all over (even though some teachers appear to have experienced it this way). The problem I've found––and in my 20s I was a monk doing hours of daily meditation for more than 10 years––is that most so-called "spiritual" practices involve leaving the body and freezing it into "stillness." This simply doesn't work. The universe is an infinite wave. The body is a living system of waves. Stillness doesn't exist, although the mental experience people call "stillness" does emerge from learning to come into coherence with life's dynamic waves––which I call "surfing the Infinite Wave." Huh? Stillness is Truth, isn't it? Well, yes and no... in other words, you may get a temporary feeling of "stillness," from various forced practices, but life is a dynamic, wavy flow, and if you try to suppress this chaos, or even "witness" it all, your life energy fights back as anxiety, illness, scarcity, relationship difficulties, and so on. Sometimes people have dramatic––but temporary––experiences of awakening, perhaps by sitting with a teacher. Or sitting "still" for 10 days with a straight spine on a round, black pillow. But it doesn't "take" or "last" when you get back to the moving experience called life. Awakening to who you really are needs to be an integrated experience, or in other words, it needs to include all parts of you, including those pesky emotions and the uncomfortable energies in that pesky body. In addition to "realizing who you really are," which is predominantly a mental thing, you need to reconcile your "thinking self" with your "creature self," which is energetic. Most people have only experienced a hint of this, perhaps during sex. There is a huge potential of energy, information and inspiration––really it is literally "spirit"––that can be freed up to heal you with a real palpable river of energy (the infinite wave, or iWave, as I call it). Most people need quite a bit of emotional, mental or even bodily backlog to be cleared in order for their wild and limitless spiritual potential to break through consistently. Break through what? Our personal barriers and the limitations of the collective "grid" of human fear that we've all inherited. You have a reputation for getting people through their stuff very quickly. What techniques do you use? Well, one local teacher referred to my "combination of nurturing-Mother love and middle-linebacker intensity," ––but that isn't exactly a technique. Of course I do use a bag of tricks––my iWave methodology is a synthesis of direct downloads I have received from my inner guidance, over more than 3 decades, and incorporates aspects of the 2% that actually works, out of all the dozens of methods in which I've been certified in my long life. Are you saying that most personal growth methods don't work? Yes I am! Most personal growth methods don't work long-term! With all due respect to the sincerity of most teachers and teachings out there, I've found that most methods DON'T WORK except for a very temporary honeymoon period! Why don't they work? what does work? Most practices don't take you all the way because they are not integrated. They are too mental, or too physical, or too emotional, or even too "spiritual!" iWave incorporates all these aspects in one dynamic wave experience. It's an integrated approach, that specifically covers body, emotions, breath, belief systems and your spiritual sense of identity, Who You Think You "Am!" The "I" in iWAVE is actually your Real Self, but just knowing about that mentally doesn't cut it. The HOW of all this is explained further on my "HOW" page, but briefly, over decades of teaching and working with 1000s of people, I've developed a unique combo of practices that together is called "iWAVE". It has 5 branches (I-W-A-V-E is an acronym for a practice you will eventually learn if you're interested. An iWave session with me might include (according to to what you need that day) wave-breathing™, belief-waving™, body-waving™, radical hypnogression™, Meltdown™, and Fluid Inquiry, to name but a few... What's the scoop and the small print? Private Sessions are currently $220-$250 (less when you buy a series, see above right) per 50-minute hour, by phone (or in person, if you live in the SF Bay Area). Phone sessions can be booked by PayPal, through the links on the right, and you can e-mail me at iwaveinstitute@me.com, to schedule. Price depends on number of sessions––there are excellent "discount deals" if you buy a series. I recommend 1 session, (preferably 1.5 hours) to see if the work works for you, and then a commitment to a series of 10 or 20 sessions, so we can really go deep. (The other shorter series on the right are for clients who have done 10-20 sessions, and come back for refresher courses.) I only have a few open spots (as of January 2016), and I look forward to meeting whoever is supposed to fill them. (415) 888-3586 or email iwaveinstitute@me.com |
